Baby massage
You have carried your baby for nine months in safety and security. After birth, babies also need a warm feeling, which can be provided by massage. Moreover, baby massage sooths your baby and it is a positive way of communication with your child; it also stimulates the neurological, motor and emotional development of your baby.
You can also use baby massage to relieve discomforts such as colic or constipation. It is a special way to offer your baby all these benefits and to get to know each other. You will learn to know your baby’s body language, the only language your baby speaks during the first nine months of his life. The skin is of primary importance in babies: it is the first sense, it knows everything.
The first weeks of his life, a baby especially needs cuddling, caressing and touching. The ideal starting age for baby massage is between 6 weeks and 9 months.
The course consists of three classes, to give you and your baby time to enjoy and master the baby massage. Different techniques of baby massage will be taught, we will do some baby gym and little games and will end the session with a relaxing bath. On top, you get some practical tips and you come in contact with other parents.
What to bring?
- One large bath towel and one towel with hood
- Diaper
- Comfortable clothing for you
The workshop cost €60 / 3 sessions. Registration is necessary.
